Portfolio: "science for public"
Oceanography fun reading.
Introduction
Fun stories at dinner parties, tested the idea of mingling true oceanographic information, within a playful framework, providing an entertainment, containing science information. . . however, dinner party guests are a captive audience. For a general public audience, story creation for a written platform seemed interesting idea. . . but unknown.
I created and pitched a blog platform story involving a rice pudding, as you do, and was awaiting response, when I read an article on EarthStory facebook page about complicated plate tectonics. . . The chocolate idea sprung to mind as useful to explain. . . I published a reply story-comment. . . and got a "kudos" reply from the post author, as well as fair feedback from. . . the non captive, general public.

Giving these posts a bit of a platform
The blog type platform for the oceanography ideas (planned only for a couple of sample posts) was given its own category, within the existing Cave Wall Media ARTICLES, which carries a small range of other ideas.
Two posts were published and feedback moderated to sideline "nice" and "lovely" (and "rubbish") comments, to allow more interesting feedback such as education and entertainment benefits for the reader. . . and for the likes of readers pupils and peers etc.
Below are screen shots of a couple of the oceanographic style fun stories. The full posts can be found on the Cave Wall Media ARTICLES site.
