The idea was worth a venture… but unfortunately discovered that I don’t share the “mode-of-operation”… So have shelved the Ko-Fi opportunity for now.
Your messages (and direct emails) have been a positive result… but the disappointment started on the discovery that Ko-Fi would subsequently send an email to those that kindly bought me a coffee.
The email structure revealed a mode-of-operation that I understand (get more people involved with Ko-Fi), but I don’t like, therefore don’t want to be involved, because of the wording (false urgency somewhat scammy attitude).
The email opens with an false alarmer
*** Action required…
… (but no action is required)
It then places the creators name… but the creator has nothing to do with the email
It then places a false action
*** Confirm your guest donation…
… (there is no requirement for this demand)
To end it places another false action
*** Click here to confirm it was you
… (there is no requirement for this demand)
An enquiry to Ko-Fi gained a thankyou, but no hint of a change… So I’ll cease for now.
A screen shot of some of your kind comments is pasted below

Cheers for now
